Tara has worked with HR Directions for over seven years.  Tara graduated from NC State University in 2007 with a degree in Business Management and a concentration in marketing.  She is driven to provide exceptional service and has achieved several certifications in human resources, including Professional in Human Resources and is a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional.  Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, baking, and decorating.

To develop a solid human resources foundation in and outside of our organization by utilizing our team's expertise in employment law, organizational development and employee relations.

Cherié Marshall

Managing Member


Cherié has over fifteen years of experience providing employment and HR solutions to her clients. Cherié graduated from Meredith College with a B.A. in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting.  Cherié has been recognized as an HR Mover and Shaker and is active with the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter of ALS, and the Women’s Business Enterprise Certification Committee. 

Mikio Anderson

Vice President of Human Resources


Mikio began working with HR Directions in August 2006 shortly after graduating from UNC Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Public Policy. She discovered her passion in Human Resources and achieved multiple certifications in the field: Senior Professional in Human Resources, Professional in Human Resources, Certified Personnel Consultant and Certified Temporary Staffing.  Mikio enjoys drawing, good food, hiking and traveling out of the country.

Katy Werlin
Human Resources Specialist


Katy began working with HR Directions in October 2015. At HR Directions, Katy provides our customers with exceptional service and strives to provide thorough and detailed guidance that is compliant with federal and state employment laws and client-specific needs.  She became a Certified Staffing Professional with the American Staffing Association in 2017. Katy graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Dramatic Arts and then went on to acquire her M.A. in Visual Culture: Costume Studies at New York University. In her free time, Katy enjoys sewing, reading, writing, and performing in local theater productions.
